Job Summary
A Social Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, Political Science, Economics, and Social Sciences to students. The teacher develops lesson plans, conducts classroom activities, evaluates student performance, and promotes critical thinking and awareness of society and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons.
- Teach topics related to history, geography, civics, economics, and culture.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests, and classroom activities.
- Assess and monitor students’ academic progress.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage student participation.
- Use modern teaching methods, digital tools, and interactive activities.
- Organize projects, debates, presentations, and educational trips.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Follow school curriculum guidelines and educational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Education, or related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) preferred/required.
- Teaching certification as per school or board requirements.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Andra, Andhra Pradesh: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
