We are looking for a highly analytical, smart and result-oriented Marketplace Advertising & Growth Manager who can independently manage and scale our business across Amazon, Flipkart and other online marketplaces.
The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in marketplace advertising, account growth, profitability management and organic sales building. The role requires someone who understands not only how to run advertisements, but also how to improve product ranking, conversion rate, organic visibility and overall marketplace profitability.
The candidate will be responsible for managing advertising budgets, controlling ACOS and TACOS, improving ROAS, increasing organic sales contribution and creating a sustainable growth strategy for each product and category.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Advertising Management
Plan, execute and optimise advertising campaigns on Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces.
Manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and video advertising campaigns.
Create campaign structures based on product category, keywords, competition, margins and business objectives.
Manage automatic, manual, keyword, product-targeting and competitor-targeting campaigns.
Regularly analyse search-term reports and identify profitable as well as wasteful keywords.
Optimise bids, placements, budgets and campaign structure to improve advertising performance.
Reduce unnecessary ad spending without affecting sales and product ranking.
Develop separate advertising strategies for new launches, hero products, slow-moving products and mature listings.
ACOS, TACOS and Profitability Management
Closely monitor ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CPC, CTR, conversion rate and advertising-attributed sales.
Maintain advertising costs within defined profitability targets.
Understand product margins, marketplace fees, logistics costs, discounts and contribution margins before planning campaigns.
Analyse the relationship between advertising spend, organic sales and total business growth.
Build strategies to gradually reduce TACOS by increasing organic sales contribution.
Prepare product-wise and category-wise profitability reports.
Identify products where advertising is not commercially viable and recommend corrective actions.
Organic Sales and Ranking Growth
Build strategies to improve organic rankings for high-potential keywords.
Work on keyword indexing, listing relevance, conversion improvement and ranking growth.
Increase organic sales percentage through improved listings, reviews, pricing, promotions and inventory planning.
Coordinate with the catalogue and creative teams to improve product titles, bullet points, descriptions, A+ Content and listing images.
Identify high-search-volume and high-conversion keywords for each product.
Improve product visibility through deals, coupons, promotions and marketplace events.
Track keyword ranking, category ranking and share of voice against competitors.
Develop launch strategies that help products move from advertising-driven sales to sustainable organic sales.
Marketplace Growth Strategy
Take complete ownership of advertising and sales growth across Amazon, Flipkart and other marketplaces.
Create monthly and quarterly advertising and revenue plans.
Analyse category trends, competitor products, pricing, ratings, reviews and promotional strategies.
Identify new opportunities for scaling products and categories.
Recommend which products should receive higher advertising investment based on demand, margins and growth potential.
Plan advertising for major marketplace events, festive sales and product launches.
Coordinate with inventory, pricing, catalogue and operations teams to avoid stock-outs and lost advertising opportunities.
Monitor account health, Buy Box, suppressed listings and other factors affecting sales.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
Report advertising spend, sales, ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, organic sales contribution and profitability.
Provide clear insights and action plans instead of only sharing raw data.
Maintain product-wise campaign dashboards and performance trackers.
Present competitor analysis and category growth opportunities to management.
Forecast sales and advertising budgets based on historical data and upcoming business plans.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Ads and Flipkart Ads.
Complete understanding of ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CPC, CTR, conversion rate and organic sales contribution.
Strong knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Flipkart Seller Hub.
Experience in keyword research, competitor analysis and campaign optimisation.
Ability to analyse business profitability, not only advertising performance.
Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and performance dashboards.
Knowledge of marketplace analytics and keyword tools such as Helium 10, SellerApp, DataHawk or similar tools will be preferred.
Understanding of product listing optimisation, SEO, A+ Content and conversion-rate improvement.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple categories and a large number of SKUs independently.
Good communication and coordination skills.
