Purpose of Job:
Responsible for execution of construction projects, Report day- to-day functioning of progress on Civil-Construction, Site
management and monitoring of the quality of workmanship.
Key Tasks:
1. Execute construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner with the right quality and cost.
2. Getting the work executed as per design and drawings provided by the consultants/ architect.
3. Ensuring compliances with respect to the contract and in raise alerts and alarms in case of any discrepancies
4. Ensure that all the works have to be carried out as per laid down engineering practice and relevant IS code or CPWD norms.
5. Monitor financial management of each work and in case of any deviation, work out the cost of deviations and inform.
No Deviation will be executed/ carried out without obtaining approvals.
6. Ensure that the make/ size of material brought at site by the vendor should be as per contract provisions. In case
substandard material is brought at site, the vendor should remove it from site within next 24 hours without fail. This
substandard material will also be recorded and rejected in writing with reasons of rejection.
7. Ensure that all test report brought by the vendor should be kept at site/office. These reports should be produced to
consultant on his visit or mail to him in case of any urgency.
8. Maintain the records of all material brought at site, test carried out at site or done from external agencies and material
removed from site due to any reasons.
9. Take and record joint measurement of the entire activities at site with vendor or his representative before it is covered
up. A proper Measurement Book (MB) will be prepared and maintained before start of work & during the work.
10. Take measurements for new works required for preparation of BOQs.
11. Ensure that all the rectification has to be carried out immediately in case of any objection raised by
donor/consultant/architect/CEO or any responsible official. A proper record in this effect also to be maintained as per Performa provided at site.
12. Obtaining photographs of site preconstruction, during construction and post construction.
13. Check all the measurement of bills (RA or Final) submitted by the vendor and forwarded it to head office duly
endorsing his remarks.
14. Any exception noncompliance observed are to be either got rectified in presence of ENGINEER or documented in the
‘Site Order Book’, if rectification is to be done later. Subsequently, the ENGINEER has to ensure that the contractor &
his authorized representative have acknowledged the exception and the necessary corrective action has been taken.
After completion of the corrective action, the ENGINEER has to sign against each of the observation logged and also
record the corrective action taken in the site order book. The ENGINEER cannot mark the activity as completed in the
‘Construction Progress Checklist’ till the time he is satisfied that the necessary corrections have been made.
15. During the review of final bill, the ENGINEER has taken care of all the exceptions noted in the site order book.
16. ENGINEER will ensure all activities are done in accordance with the Tender Document and as engineer good engineering practices.
17. Ensure the progress of work is as engineer the accepted “schedule of work” submitted by the contractor and approved
by Head Construction. Initiate all prudent actions to ensure the work is completed at each stage by the due date. The
feedback on actions by the contractor must be forwarded to Head Construction well in time to enable timely action for timely completion.
18. Forward weekly progress to head office
19. Ensure that the contractor has acknowledged the observations noted in the site order book and has taken initiated
remedial action on the same. If the remedial action is not initiated by the contractor by the mutually agreed time, the
engineer will inform the same to contractor in form of a letter with a copy to Head Construction
20. The ENGINEER will be physically present on site during the following construction activities:
- Layout approval.
- Approval of Reinforcement of steel and formwork for casting of concrete.
- Concreting of slabs.
21. Assess potential risks, materials and costs
22. Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
23. Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
24. Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
25. Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required
26. Any other task as assigned by supervisor
Profile of Person:
1. Degree / Diploma holder of Civil Engineering
2. 10+ years work exp with Civil Construction of Building. Handled one construction project site independently.
3. Honest, Sincere and Hardworking.
4. Highest standards of ethics & integrity.
5. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
7. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
8. Accurate and precise attention to detail
9. Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Work hours:
As per requirement

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
