Senior Accountant
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-orientated senior accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in purchase and sales accounting, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, import-export documentation, and ERP/accounting software.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Finance
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and General Ledger.
- Pass Journal Entries, Payment Entries, Receipt Entries, Contra Entries, and Adjustment Entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and reconcile all ledger accounts.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Monitor cash flow and prepare MIS reports for management.
Purchase & Sales
- Record Purchase Entries and Sales Entries accurately.
- Prepare and verify Purchase Orders (PO) and Purchase Invoices (PI).
- Generate Sales Invoices, Debit Notes, and Credit Notes.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Sales teams for documentation and payment follow-up.
GST & Taxation
- Prepare and file GST Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
- Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records.
- Handle TDS deduction, payment, return filing, and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
E-Way Bill & E-Invoicing
- Generate and manage e-way bills for dispatches.
- Prepare e-invoices as per GST regulations.
- Ensure all transportation and tax documents are accurate and compliant.
Import & Export
- Handle accounting related to Import & Export transactions.
- Verify shipping documents such as Bill of Entry, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, and related documents.
- Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics providers.
- Account for customs duty, freight, insurance, and foreign currency transactions.
- Ensure compliance with import-export regulations and maintain proper documentation.
Audit & Compliance
- Support Internal, Statutory, GST, and Tax Audits.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Required Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com (Mandatory)
- CA Inter / CMA – Preferred
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry will be preferred.
