Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Home Health Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, assigning accurate ICD-10-CM codes, and ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory guidelines. This role is critical for optimizing reimbursement, reducing claim denials, and maintaining coding compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign ICD-10-CM codes to diagnoses based on clinical documentation for home health services.
Review OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency in coding.
Collaborate with clinicians and healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with CMS, HIPAA, and payer-specific guidelines related to home health coding.
Utilize coding software and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Identify and report potential coding errors, discrepancies, and denials, ensuring timely resolution.
Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices through continued education and training.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge: Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, OASIS guidelines, Medicare billing, and PDGM (Patient-Driven Groupings Model).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical coding software. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accurate and compliant coding to prevent audits and revenue loss.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers and compliance teams.
Pay: ₹17,366.76 - ₹110,569.10 per month
