The Interior Production In-Charge is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all production activities related to interior fit-out and furniture manufacturing. The role ensures projects are completed according to approved drawings, quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities.
- Ensure production schedules are met within the required deadlines.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, site, and project teams.
- Allocate manpower and resources efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Monitor production progress and provide regular status updates.
Quality Control
- Ensure all products and fit-out items are manufactured according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after production.
- Identify and rectify defects or non-conformities.
- Maintain company quality standards and procedures.
Material & Inventory Management
- Coordinate material requirements with the procurement department.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Maintain records of stock, tools, and production materials.
- Verify incoming materials and report shortages or damages.
Team Supervision
- Supervise carpenters, painters, electricians, fabricators, and other production staff.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity within the production team.
- Provide guidance and technical support to workers.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain production records and daily progress reports.
- Track project milestones and production targets.
- Prepare productivity, material usage, and completion reports.
- Coordinate project handovers with site teams.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in interior fit-out, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or production management.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking, joinery, and interior finishing works.
- Ability to read technical drawings and production plans.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
