Collections Operations Manager – India (Tele calling & Field Collections)
We are looking for an experienced collections professional to lead the setup and expansion of our India collections operations. This is a unique opportunity to build a collections business from the ground up, encompassing both tele calling and field collections capabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing operational processes, recruiting and managing telecalling and field collection teams, implementing best practices, and driving collection performance across multiple portfolios. The role requires strong leadership, collections expertise, operational planning skills, and the ability to build scalable recovery strategies while ensuring full compliance with client, company, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage end-to-end collections operations across telecalling and field collections.
- Develop collection strategies, workflows, performance metrics, operational controls, and quality standards.
- Recruit, train, and lead telecalling teams, collection agents, team leaders, and field executives.
- Build and manage a scalable network of field collection resources across multiple geographies.
- Drive collection performance and ensure achievement of client and business targets.
- Manage client relationships and maintain high service delivery standards.
- Monitor portfolio performance, analyze trends, and implement continuous process improvements.
- Work closely with technology and management teams to implement collection systems, reporting frameworks, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, compliance standards, and ethical collection practices.
- Support marketing and business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, participating in client engagements and proposals, and helping expand the company's collections services across India.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in collections management, including telecalling and field recovery operations.
- Strong understanding of retail lending, unsecured lending, vehicle finance, credit cards, or related collections portfolios.
- Demonstrated experience in building, managing, and scaling collections teams and operations.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with banks, NBFCs, fintechs, collection agencies, or BPO environments will be highly regarded.
