Job Description:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead and execute a large-scale data engineering migration project. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can bridge strategy and execution, actively contributing to deliverables while also managing timelines, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in migrating legacy data infrastructure to modern cloud-native platforms, ensuring data quality, pipeline reliability, and delivery excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of the data engineering migration project, ensuring on-time delivery across all phases.
- Hands-on design, development, and optimization of data pipelines using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Talend.
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to define migration scope, approach, and success criteria.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve technical and operational blockers.
- Ensure data integrity, pipeline performance, and compliance standards are met during and after migration.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate workstreams across the team.
- Prepare status reports and present updates to project leads and senior management.
- Drive best practices in CI/CD, data governance, and cloud data architecture within the team.
Skills:
- Technical expertise in Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse).
- Hands-on development, testing, and deployment of data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Talend, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Excellent Communication and Team Management Skills
