Role & Responsibilities:
The project architect role revolves around managing and overseeing the design and construction of specific projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall development and implementation of a specific architectural project development, details, and documentation.
- In charge of coordinating a team effort to complete a project promptly and successfully/
- Prepare Design Documentation that meet client specifications and propose a budget and time estimates
- Acts as an intermediary between the client and the architecture team
- Ensure that the team is working effectively and keeping with the schedule and budget
- Review all work reports, write reports, and keep client and consultants informed about the status of the project
- Provide technical coordination of architectural design works with specification writers to document project specifications.
- Maintain the necessary specifications for standard and non-standard construction
- Ensure that approvals of drawings and sample materials obtained as specified / approved within the time scale of the program in coordination with the project directors
- Reviews documents for quality control evaluations
- Lead a group of designers / draftsman and motivate them to achieve the objectives of the company
- Attend design, team, and coordination meetings as well as prepare notes for records and pass information to the team
- Supervises project team and coordinates and maintains project schedule
- Meets and coordinates with clients and consultants, suppliers, and vendors
- Actively support RSP vision to grow the use of BIM across all disciplines and deliver projects on BIM.
- Remains current with industry trends in BIM, digital design, and design technology.
- Actively researches and implements latest design and construction technologies.
Experience & Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other similar tools is essential. Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
- Ability to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet client needs.
- Excellent understanding with architectural drafting and documentation standards.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
