Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, empathetic, and motivated Residential Addiction Counsellor (De-Addiction Counsellor) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and the 12-Step model, and be committed to helping clients build a meaningful life in recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual addiction counselling and recovery coaching sessions.
- Deliver engaging psychoeducation sessions on addiction, recovery, mental health, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and life skills.
- Guide clients through personalized recovery plans and 12-Step work.
- Facilitate process groups, support groups, and therapeutic group discussions.
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide motivation, accountability, and emotional support throughout the recovery journey.
- Participate in family sessions and multidisciplinary case discussions when required.
- Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compassionate care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Addiction Studies, or a related field.
- Certification in Addiction Counselling is preferred.
- Experience working in addiction treatment, rehabilitation, or mental health settings.
- Strong understanding of substance use disorders and behavioural addictions.
- Knowledge of the 12-Step Program and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi is preferred. Additional regional languages are an advantage.
