The University is seeking an experienced and proactive Placement Manager to strengthen its Training & Placement function. The incumbent will be responsible for developing corporate relationships, facilitating student placements, organizing career development activities, and ensuring successful internship and final placement outcomes across various disciplines.
Establish and maintain relationships with leading companies, recruiters, industry associations, and HR professionals.
Identify and approach prospective recruiters for campus hiring, internships, and industry engagement initiatives.
Develop long-term partnerships with organizations across diverse sectors to enhance placement opportunities.
Plan and execute annual placement strategies to achieve placement targets.
Coordinate end-to-end campus recruitment processes, including pre-placement talks, assessments, interviews, and offer management.
Facilitate summer internships, live projects, and industry immersion opportunities for students.
Maintain a comprehensive database of recruiters, alumni, and placement records.
Conduct training needs assessments and coordinate sessions on aptitude, communication, interview skills, resume building, and group discussions.
Guide students regarding career planning, job search strategies, and industry expectations.
Work closely with academic departments to align student competencies with market requirements.
Organize career fairs, industry conclaves, guest lectures, networking events, and employer engagement programs.
Collaborate with alumni to create mentorship, networking, and placement opportunities.
Gather employer feedback and recommend initiatives to improve student employability.
Prepare periodic reports on placement statistics, recruiter engagement, internship outcomes, and student participation.
Monitor placement trends, salary benchmarks, and industry hiring patterns.
Support accreditation, ranking, and institutional reporting requirements related to placements.
MBA from a recognized institution.
6–10 years of experience in placements, corporate relations, talent acquisition, recruitment, or career services, preferably within the higher education sector.
Strong network of corporate contacts across industries.
Proven track record of successfully managing campus placements and recruiter relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty members, alumni, and corporate partners.
Proficiency in MS Office and placement management systems will be an added advantage.
