Quality Control Supervisor
Two positions, Ghaziabad
Queens Bay International makes and exports fine paper products for B2B customers abroad. The work is high-volume manual assembly and finishing on a single shift. Our units are in Ghaziabad and Delhi.
Location: Factory, GT Road, Ghaziabad. On the floor, Monday to Saturday.
Salary: ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 gross a month.
Experience: 3+ years in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing unit, with at least 1 year checking export-grade goods.
About the role
You are the check on a floor of 80 to 100 operators doing manual assembly and finishing of small paper items. Every piece is made by hand, so quality drifts by operator, by hour and by batch. Your job is to catch it before it is packed, not after the buyer does.
What you will do
· Check incoming paper, adhesives and packaging material against specification before it reaches the floor. Reject what does not match.
· Inspect in-process at fixed points on each line: dimensions, finish, adhesion, count, and cleanliness.
· Sample every finished lot before packing on a defined AQL plan. Pass it, rework it, or put it on hold. A hold is yours to place and only the Quality Head or the Partner can lift it.
· Keep the rejection register: what failed, which line, which operator, which shift. Daily rejection and rework percentage in writing to management.
· Trace a buyer complaint back to a lot, a line and a cause, and write it up.
· Set operators straight on the spot. Run the visual standards and reference samples on every line.
Production planning, manpower and output sit with the Production Supervisor. Raw material purchase sits with Purchase. Shipment release sits with the Partner. This role does not cover any of those. It also does not report to Production.
What we need from you
· You have run inspection on a manual or semi-automatic line, not only a lab.
· You can explain AQL sampling, and you have used it. We will ask what plan you ran and at what levels.
· You know your current plant's rejection percentage and the top three defects from memory.
· You can say no to a Production Supervisor who wants a lot released, and you have done it.
· Fluent Hindi. Ghaziabad, Noida or east NCR. People travelling across Delhi have not lasted with us.
