Role Summary
We’re hiring an experienced HR Manager to own end‑to‑end HR operations for Serein Spaces. This role requires proven HR experience specifically within commercial interior design, architecture, construction, or fit-out companies. You will run HR processes for a growing, project-driven organisation: recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance, performance management, employee relations, policies, learning & development, and HR analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑end recruitment: develop role briefs, source candidates (including campus & industry channels), screen, run interviews with hiring managers, coordinate offers and onboarding. Strong track record hiring designers, project managers, site engineers, procurement, and operations staff in interior/fit‑out firms.
- Onboarding & offboarding: design and execute smooth onboarding, probation reviews, exit interviews, and knowledge capture for project continuity.
- HR operations & payroll: administer payroll, benefits, statutory compliance (ESI, PF, professional tax, TDS), leave management, and vendor coordination (payroll, statutory filings).
- Employee relations: handle grievances, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and maintain a positive workplace climate across office & site teams.
- Performance & career management: implement performance review cycles, goal setting, KPI alignment with project delivery, and career/pathway frameworks for design and operations roles.
- Compensation & benefits: support compensation benchmarking, salary reviews, incentive structures (project completion incentives, bonuses), and ESOP coordination where applicable.
- L&D & talent development: identify skill gaps for designers, PMs, and site teams; run internal training, certifications, and mentorship programs tied to business needs.
- HR policies & documentation: create and update employee handbook, role-based SOPs, JD templates, employment agreements, and site safety HR protocols.
- HR systems & analytics: manage HRMS/ATS, maintain accurate HR records, produce monthly HR dashboards (headcount, attrition, hiring funnel, bench utilisation, payroll metrics).
- Culture & engagement: run engagement initiatives, townhalls, recognition programs, and initiatives that bridge design studio and site teams.
- Project-oriented HR support: align staffing plans to project pipelines, manage contractor and vendor workforce onboarding, and support workforce mobilization/ demobilization for sites.
Must-have Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years HR experience with at least 2–3 years in a commercial interior/fit‑out/architecture/construction firm in an HR generalist or HR Manager role.
- Strong operational experience: recruitment across design & site roles, payroll & statutory compliance, HR policies.
- Hands-on knowledge of hiring technical roles: interior designers, architects, project managers, site engineers, procurement, and MEP coordinators.
- Practical understanding of project-driven staffing models, site safety considerations, and contract labour management.
- Excellent interpersonal & stakeholder management skills; able to influence founders, project heads, and site managers.
- Familiarity with HRMS/ATS tools, Google Workspace/Office 365, and basic HR analytics/spreadsheets.
Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
