A Fire & Safety Officer is responsible for protecting people, property, and the environment by preventing fire hazards, ensuring workplace safety, and enforcing health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular fire and safety inspections throughout the hospital.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety and hospital safety regulations.
- Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and sprinkler systems.
- Identify fire and safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Organize and conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
- Train hospital staff on fire prevention and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor emergency exits, escape routes, and evacuation plans.
- Investigate fire incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with the fire department and emergency response agencies.
- Supervise safe storage and handling of medical gases, chemicals, and flammable materials.
- Monitor high-risk work such as electrical maintenance and hot work.
- Maintain fire safety records, inspection reports, and emergency documentation.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
