We are looking for a passionate Furniture Product Designer who combines creativity with practical manufacturing knowledge. The ideal candidate should have hands-on understanding of furniture construction and be capable of developing products from initial sketches through prototyping and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop furniture concepts based on design briefs, customer requirements, and market trends.
- Create 3D models and visual presentations for design validation.
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Apply knowledge of carpentry, joinery, hardware, and material selection during product development.
- Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and design optimization.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, functionality, and cost requirements.
- Maintain project documentation and version control throughout the development cycle.
Required Skills
- Strong foundation in furniture design principles and construction techniques.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, KeyShot, or equivalent 3D design software.
- Ability to create production-ready technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of woodworking processes, hardware integration, and furniture ergonomics.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
