Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven General Manager / Regional Manager – Sales & Plant Operations to lead our medical device and equipment manufacturing operations in Pondicherry.
The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of relevant experience in medical device/equipment manufacturing, with strong expertise in sales, plant operations, production coordination, team management, business development, and operational performance.
The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth while ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations, quality standards, customer satisfaction, and achievement of organizational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall plant operations and regional sales activities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
- Manage production planning, inventory, procurement coordination, and operational activities.
- Monitor production performance, productivity, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, distributors, dealers, institutions, and key customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's customer and market base.
- Lead, motivate, and manage sales, production, and operations teams.
- Coordinate with management on business plans, budgets, targets, and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable medical device manufacturing, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational costs and implement measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Handle customer requirements, escalations, complaints, and service coordination.
- Prepare and review sales, production, operational, and performance reports.
- Work closely with senior management to achieve overall company objectives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Mandatory: Experience in medical device / medical equipment manufacturing.
- Proven experience in plant operations, sales, business development, or general management.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and operational management.
- Experience managing sales targets and customer relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple functions and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Candidates with experience handling both manufacturing operations and sales/business development will be preferred.
