This is a remote position for our Australia offices and the individual will be expected to work AWST hours.
Responsibilities
- Costing & Quoting of daily RFQs / Inquiries from local clients and Agents.
- Proactively trying to optimize the profitability of the shipments quoted
- Proactively negotiate with service providers the best contract rates and costs
- Proactively following up feedback on quoted business and find ways to increase the closing ratio
- Proactively generate Sales Leads from different sources i.e. Inquiries, Data base, Online
- Follow up Sales leads through Cold Calls, emails and other means like WeChat if overseas
- Closely coordinate with the company’s Sales Reps on the ground in finding ways to close new business, and possibly securing one on one meetings for them
- Review, Analyze past quotes and find ways to improve them
- Actively log your CRM communications with prospects and existing clients in the company’s system and schedule follow ups
- Generating quotes from the company’s system when necessary
- Proactively generate and qualify leads for yourself and outside sales team through Quotes, and other company data base
- Proactively educating yourself with the Company’s system skills as well as with the industry changes and regulations
- Keeping the company’s database and system up to date on daily basis
- Identify continuous process improvements and propose to the Pricing Manager
- Acting as the liaise between the Directors and the Pricing team to implement pricing policy changes
- Hold regular internal Pricing meetings with the team, and ensure action plans are summarized and followed up regularly
- Training new team members
- Maintaining updated PRICING SOPs and database
- Auditing and Quality control of the US Pricing quotes
- Run weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual reports on the US Pricing team’s KPIs and assist the Director in analysing and improving the teams KPI, including: No of quotes per period & No of conversions per period & response time & No of sales lead and follow ups per period
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management.
- Working hours 8:30 to 17:00 EST
Qualifications
- Min 4 years of Freight Forwarding Experience is required.
- Min 3 years of Pricing and estimate experience.
- Incoterms & Cargo Wise 1 knowledge is a must.
- Knowledge of Incoterms is a must
- Knowledge of all international documents like Bill of lading, Commercial Invoice, Letters of Credit is a must
