PUB Management Experience Mandatory
The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the pub, ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer experience, and achievement of financial targets. The role involves supervising staff, managing inventory and vendors, maintaining statutory compliance, and implementing marketing initiatives to increase footfall and revenue. The GM will play a key role in creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pub including bar service, kitchen coordination, and customer service.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all shifts and maintain high standards of service and hygiene.
- Monitor customer experience and handle escalations or complaints professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise bartenders, service staff, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
- Prepare duty rosters, manage attendance, and monitor staff performance.
- Conduct regular team briefings and training to maintain service standards.
- Foster a positive and disciplined work environment.
Financial Management
- Manage daily sales, cash handling, billing, and reconciliation.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability of the pub.
- Control operational costs including food and beverage costs.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales performance and business trends.
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels of beverages, food items, and supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement.
- Monitor stock usage and prevent wastage or pilferage.
Marketing & Business Development
- Plan and execute promotions, theme nights, events, and marketing campaigns to attract customers.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for social media promotions and brand visibility.
- Build strong relationships with regular customers and corporate clients.
Compliance & Licensing
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations including liquor license, excise regulations, health and safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation and records as required by authorities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in pub, bar, restaurant, or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of bar operations, food & beverage management, and cost control.
