We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for our Hong Kong entities, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for Hong Kong entities in accordance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards.
- Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, receivables, payables, and other financial accounts.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare adjusting entries.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company accounting policies.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification highly desirable).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRSs).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Netsuite).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations in Hong Kong.
- Proficiency in a second language (Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus.
