Job Summary
For Technical Design Expert – AWS Architect: The TDE - AWS should be able to contribute as a Cloud Solution Architect and work with a group of people including application manager, application architect, cloud technical architects, project managers, and implementation teams. We are looking for an experienced professional who is presently working in AWS cloud and has good understanding of latest AWS service offerings in IaaS and PaaS. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Create the detailed infra design to operate the application software/services on AWS public cloud platform. Discuss with application manager/architects to understand requirements and document the detail requirements. Contribute to detail solution design for scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant hosting platform on AWS. Work on selecting the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, networking, high-availability and security requirements. Conduct solution design review meetings with application team and other stakeholders Guide implementation and control the flow of data to and from AWS. Identifying appropriate use of AWS operational best practices Estimating AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms Co-ordinate with IT systems/application support, networks, and liaise for server builds and upgrades, domain configuration, and performance and tuning. Experience and knowledge of other datacentre infrastructure administration in the areas of Networking, VPN, IBM P series, Blade servers, ESX, Storage, Firewall, Switching / Routing is required. VMware NSX, Backup and Restore, Security for Cloud and IT Infrastructure BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computers or equivalent with overall more than12 years working in IT (preferably in infrastructure management/support role) 2 to 5 years of solid experience in hosting solution design of enterprise scale business application on AWS platform AWS Solution Architect Certification (Professional level) highly desired Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) A very strong customer focus Ability to juggle many tasks and projects in a fast-moving environment. REQUIRED TECHNOLOGY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS. Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS. Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project. Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS for different regions Experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, EMR, S3, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security. Ability to design high available solutions on AWS across availability zones and regions. Experience in AWS Security Groups, VPC, Routing Tables, Subnets, EBS, Cloud Front, EC2, S3, IAM Roles and Policies, Cloud Watch, Lambda, SNS, SQS, SSL Certs, and Auto Scaling Groups Experience with DevOps Orchestration/Configuration/Continuous Integration Management technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet. Knowledge on hybrid public cloud design concepts Very good understanding of Cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services Knowledge & experience of monitoring, logging and cost management tools that integrate with AWS. Disaster Recovery preparedness with multi-zone and/or multi-region options. Automating AWS tasks using AWS tools, sdks, cloud formation scripts, command line tools. Backup and Restore management RDS, Mongo DB, and Databases (Maria DB, Arora DB) Infrastructure and Application monitoring across production and non-production platforms Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk Experience with containers and HA clusters; experience with Docker and Kubernetes P
