Service Manager oversees the entire service centre, balancing operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. They lead the workshop team, manage daily workflows, ensure compliance with manufacturer and safety standards, and handle customer escalations.
- Team Leadership: Train and supervise service advisors, technicians, and support staff. Set performance standards and monitor daily productivity.
- Operations & Workflow: Plan job scheduling, streamline repair processes, and manage Turnaround Time (TAT) to maximize throughput.
- Financial Management: Forecast goals, prepare operating budgets, control costs, and drive department profitability.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs).
- Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints, ensure a superior service experience, and promote customer retention.
- Inventory & Quality Control: Coordinate with spare parts managers to ensure part availability, and conduct quality spot-checks on completed repairs to minimize comebacks.
- Business Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, pricing, and monitoring profitability metrics.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, team motivation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Software Literacy: Familiarity with dealer management systems, service scheduling platforms, and inventory software.
- Education/Experience: Often requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering, coupled with several years of experience as a technician or service advisor.
- Compliance: Ensure the workshop adheres to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) warranty guidelines and environmental/safety regulations.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
