As an Academic Associate (AA) in Media and Communications, you will work closely with the faculty in providing academic support to Media and Communications major students and occupational minor students in Media and Journalism.
This is a 1‑year full-time position with the possibility of extension for another year.
Responsibilities:
- Work with faculty on two to three undergraduate-level courses every semester.
- Prepare for courses and tutorials, including developing pedagogical practices suited for a diverse student body.
- Hold tutorial sessions for additional mentoring as needed.
- Support students in media labs and help manage lab activities.
- Create and maintain a weekly calendar of activities for the media lab.
- Assist faculty members in organising media club events, seminars, workshops, field trips, screenings, outreach activities, and library/media resource connections.
- Assist in planning and running the summer program.
- Engage in independent or collaborative research projects under the guidance of faculty members.
