- JOB OVERVIEW : We are looking for an experienced and responsible Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a hotel property in Panaji, Goa. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, good supervisory skills, and experience in handling hotel or commercial property maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, civil and general maintenance requirements are attended to promptly and that the property remains safe, functional and well maintained.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities across the hotel property. Inspect and monitor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and civil systems. Ensure timely identification and rectification of maintenance issues. Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment and infrastructure. Allocate daily jobs to maintenance technicians and monitor their completion. Maintain records of maintenance work, breakdowns, repairs and preventive maintenance. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and servicing. Monitor the condition and performance of pumps, motors, generators, electrical panels, water systems, air-conditioning systems and other equipment. Attend to guest-room and common-area maintenance complaints and ensure timely resolution. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas and other hotel facilities. Ensure compliance with safety procedures during maintenance activities. Monitor maintenance materials, tools and spare parts and inform management of requirements. Check the quality of work carried out by technicians and external contractors. Follow up on pending maintenance jobs and ensure minimum downtime of essential equipment. Assist management in planning preventive maintenance schedules and major repair requirements. Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards within maintenance areas. Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by management.
- REQUIREMENTS : 3–4 years of relevant experience in hotel, resort, commercial property or facility maintenance. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance. Previous experience in supervising maintenance staff is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and handle maintenance breakdowns independently. Good knowledge of preventive maintenance practices. Ability to coordinate with vendors, contractors and service agencies. Good communication and team management skills. Ability to respond to urgent maintenance issues when required. ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or a related technical field will be an advantage.
