You are: The organization seeks an accomplished Subject Matter Expert in Siemens NX Model-Based Definition (MBD) to lead its Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) transformation initiative. This individual will be responsible for the implementation, standardization, and integration of Siemens NX MBD and Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) workflows with the Anark Core and Anark Workstation publishing platform for technical data package (TDP) generation.
The incumbent will function as the principal technical liaison among Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Enterprise IT functions, ensuring that 3D CAD models containing comprehensive PMI are effectively translated into downstream engineering workflows and rendered as interactive 3D PDF and HTML5 deliverables via the Anark platform.
The Opportunity:
Siemens NX MBD and PMI Domain Leadership
- Serve as the organization's primary authority on Siemens NX MBD, PMI, Model-Based Enterprise practices, and associated 3D CAD methodologies
- Author, maintain, and govern MBD modeling standards, annotation conventions, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) guidelines in accordance with ASME Y14.41 and ISO 16792
- Establish model validation protocols and quality criteria for MBD deliverables
- Develop, standardize, and optimize NX MBD templates, Model Views, and reusable PMI content libraries in accordance with organizational best practices
- Provide technical guidance, structured training, and troubleshooting support to engineering personnel transitioning from traditional 2D drafting practices to 3D MBD methodologies
- Collaborate with Engineering Units and drive MBD improvement initiatives in line with industry best practices.
- Adhere to SDLC process for implementation and deployments.
Anark Core and Workstation Integration
- Architect, configure, and maintain the technical integration between Siemens NX, Teamcenter PLM, and the Anark Core Server/Workstation environment
- Design and optimize automated Anark publishing recipes for the generation of high-fidelity 3D PDF documents, 3D HTML5 technical data packages, and lightweight CAD visualization assets derived from NX MBD models
- Ensure accurate, automated extraction and mapping of PMI, metadata, bill-of-materials (BOM) structures, and Model Views into downstream Anark outputs
- Diagnose and resolve publishing failures, graphics translation errors, and schema inconsistencies arising between NX/Teamcenter and Anark systems
Process Optimization and Enterprise Collaboration
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality functions to define consumption requirements for 3D technical data packages, including applications in CMM inspection, CNC programming, and supplier requests for quotation (RFQ)
- Partner with PLM and CAD system administrators, as well as Enterprise IT, to manage software upgrades, API configurations, and workflow automation initiatives
- Validate technical data packages for completeness, intellectual property protection, and compliance with applicable industry and governmental standards, including MIL-STD-31000B
What are we Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on professional experience with Siemens NX CAD, including NX MBD/PMI tools, and Teamcenter PLM integration
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct experience administering, configuring, or integrating Anark Core Server / Anark Workstation, including publishing recipe development and workflow automation
- Comprehensive understanding of ASME Y14.41, ASME Y14.5 (GD&T), and ISO 16792 standards governing 3D digital product definition
- Demonstrated familiarity with technical data formats including STEP AP242, JT, 3D PDF, WebGL/HTML5, and enterprise XML data schemas
- Experience developing custom automation scripts using NX Open, Python, C++, or the Anark SDK/REST APIs
- Experience integrating Anark with Siemens Teamcenter workflows or enterprise ERP/MES systems, such as SAP or Siemens Teamcenter
- Demonstrated communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with a proven ability to lead organizational change management across cross-functional engineering units
