We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented FinOps Lead to manage and optimize internal financial operations, billing processes, accounts payable, and revenue reconciliation. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate client billing, maintaining clean financial records, managing payment collections, and supporting month-end financial processes.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in startup or high-growth environments and be comfortable using modern finance and accounting tools.
- Prepare and issue monthly client invoices accurately and on time.
- Ensure all pricing updates, subscriptions, discounts, add-ons, and overages are correctly reflected in invoices.
- Maintain billing records across accounting and payment platforms.
- Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies and client queries.
- Follow up on failed payments, overdue invoices, and outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile customer payments against invoices and financial records.
- Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable activities.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and maintain AP records.
- Support month-end and periodic financial close activities.
- Maintain accurate financial data and reporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding scope changes impacting billing.
- Develop and improve billing workflows and financial controls.
- Create scalable processes for growing business operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of finance procedures.
- Generate reports and insights related to billing, collections, and financial performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Billing Operations, Finance Operations, Revenue Operations, Accounts Receivable, or Financial Control.
- Strong understanding of billing, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working in startups, SaaS companies, technology firms, or high-growth organizations.
- Exposure to international billing and subscription-based business models.
- Familiarity with automation and AI-driven finance tools.
