Define and own the end‑to‑end embedded architecture for medical devices, ensuring cohesive interaction between hardware components and software/firmware layers.
Strong end‑to‑end understanding of both hardware and software, with the ability to analyze and understand existing hardware and software designs, identify gaps etc
Drive platform decisions on microcontrollers, FPGAs, and analog front-end components.
Ensure architecture meets performance, latency, power, and safety requirements for medical devices.
Lead architecture reviews, trade‑off analysis, and technology evaluations.
Ability to understand, interpret, and work with existing hardware and software designs, including:
Reviewing schematics, board layouts, timing diagrams
Understanding legacy firmware architecture, drivers, and control logic
Identifying improvement opportunities and refactoring needs
Strong system‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across global, multi‑disciplinary teams.
Proven ability to influence technical direction and drive alignment.
Experience working in regulated (ISO 13485) environments.
