Maths Curriculum Specialist Academic Operations | BrightChamps | Bangalore ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a Maths Curriculum Specialist who will drive the continuous improvement of our Maths learning experience across demo and paid sessions. The curriculum has already been built; this role focuses entirely on enhancing session flow, learning outcomes, practice quality, student engagement, and conversion and satisfaction performance. The ideal candidate brings a rare blend of strong Maths subject expertise, curriculum thinking, data-backed problem solving, and hands-on comfort with AI tools. This is not a content-building role — it is an improvement and optimisation role, sitting squarely at the intersection of academic depth, process rigour, and applied AI.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Demo & Paid Session Experience Improvement – Review demo conversion data by grade, topic, teacher, and market to identify drop-off points and improvement areas. – Audit existing demo session flows and recommend changes to strengthen concept clarity, student engagement, parent confidence, and conversion rate. – Analyse student satisfaction scores, session feedback, and retention signals to identify curriculum and flow gaps in paid sessions. – Ensure sessions are age-appropriate, market-relevant, and clearly tied to expected learning outcomes. – Work with the Training and Quality teams to translate curriculum improvement recommendations into practical guidelines for teacher implementation. 2. Practice Sheet, Quiz & Learning Material Quality – Audit practice sheets, quizzes, assignments, worksheets, and in-class activities across all active grade levels. – Verify that questions are accurate, well-graded, conceptually sound, and aligned to session learning objectives. 3. Syllabus, Market & Competitive Research – Research and map Maths curriculum expectations across target geographies — Common Core (US), National Curriculum (UK), Australian Curriculum, and leading MEA and NRI school board standards. – Benchmark our curriculum against top school boards, international learning standards, and key EdTech competitors on curriculum structure, demo approach, practice design, and engagement. 4. Parent Expectation Research & Insight Translation – Collect and synthesise parent feedback from NPS, session reviews, and sales team inputs to map evolving expectations around learning outcomes, school support, confidence building, and visible progress. – Translate parent and market insights into specific curriculum and session-level improvement recommendations — not generic observations. – Support the Academic and Business teams in sharpening how learning outcomes are communicated to parents across markets. 5. AI-Enabled Curriculum & Process Improvement – Use AI tools for curriculum research, content review, question generation, worksheet enhancement, and learning gap analysis. – Design and refine prompts to generate curriculum-grade Maths content; evaluate AI output for accuracy, age-appropriateness, and pedagogical soundness before it enters the production curriculum. – Build academic guardrails to ensure AI-supported content meets BrightChamps quality standards. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation – Work closely with the Teacher Training, Quality, Product, and Business teams to convert insights from data, audits, and research into clear action items. – Document improvement recommendations, review outcomes, and help standardise what works — building repeatable processes, not one-off fixes. – Support pilots, experiments, and A/B testing of new demo or paid session flows, and track outcomes against baseline.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION –
5–7 years of experience in Maths curriculum design, academic content development, teacher training, or learning experience design; K-12 or EdTech context strongly preferred. – Strong Maths subject matter expertise — solid grasp of concepts across Grades 1–10, with particular depth in upper primary and middle school. – Demonstrated experience researching and working with international school board curricula — Common Core, UK National Curriculum, Australian Curriculum, Cambridge, IB, or equivalent. – Hands-on comfort with AI tools for research, content generation, or academic productivity — and the judgment to evaluate AI output critically. – Process-oriented mindset — ability to document, standardise, and build repeatable improvement workflows, not just one-time fixes. – Strong written communication — able to create clear academic documentation, quality frameworks, and structured recommendations. – Bachelor's degree mandatory; background in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred. B.Ed, M.Ed, or curriculum certification is an added advantage.
