Company: Handmada
Location: Rajkot/Morbi, Gujarat, India
Department: International Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Export Sales Manager
Team: Works alongside other Export Sales Executives; may mentor Export Sales Interns
About Handmada
Handmada is a global supply group based in Morbi, India, combining manufacturing experience with carefully managed supplier partnerships across tiles, SPC, ceramic fiber & brick, FIBC bags, slabs, sanitary ware, rope, cotton, brass products, kitchen sinks, API, and aluminium bottles. We work with importers, distributors, and project developers across international markets who expect consistency, accountability, and clear communication in every transaction.
Role Overview
We're looking for an Export Sales Executive to manage international buyer relationships across one or more of Handmada's product categories or regions. You'll own the full sales cycle — from qualifying an inbound inquiry to closing the order, coordinating with QC and production, and following through to shipment.
This is a hands-on, buyer-facing role. You'll be on calls with importers in the US, Europe, GCC, and beyond, negotiating terms, solving problems, and building the kind of trust that turns a one-time order into a repeat account. You'll report to the Export Sales Manager and work closely with the documentation, QC, and production teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Client Management
- Respond to inbound inquiries from international buyers promptly and professionally, understanding their requirements before quoting
- Prepare and send accurate quotations, proforma invoices, and product specifications based on buyer needs
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines within approved margin and policy guidelines
- Follow up consistently on open quotations and pending decisions without being pushy — know when to push and when to give space
- Own the full order lifecycle: confirmation, coordination with production/QC, documentation handoff, and shipment tracking
- Proactively update buyers on order status, delays, or changes — never let a client find out about a problem on their own
- Build long-term relationships with existing accounts to encourage repeat orders and referrals
Coordination & Execution
- Liaise with the QC team to confirm buyer specifications are understood and met before dispatch
- Coordinate with the documentation team to ensure invoices, packing lists, and certificates are accurate and on time
- Flag any recurring buyer complaints or spec mismatches to the Export Sales Manager for resolution
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all leads, quotations, and orders in the CRM
Market & Product Knowledge
- Develop strong working knowledge of assigned product categories — specifications, pricing logic, lead times, and common buyer objections
- Stay updated on market pricing trends, competitor activity, and shifts in buyer demand within assigned regions
- Represent Handmada at trade shows, buyer meetings, or virtual demos as required
Team Contribution
- Share market feedback and buyer insights with the Export Sales Manager to help refine pricing and positioning
- Support the onboarding of new Export Sales Interns by sharing product knowledge and answering questions when asked
- Contribute to a team culture of accountability, responsiveness, and follow-through
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in international sales, export sales, or B2B sales (freshers with strong communication skills and a relevant degree may also be considered for a junior track)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field
- Working knowledge of export basics — incoterms, LC processes, and shipping documentation is a strong plus, but can be trained
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages (Spanish, Arabic, French) are an advantage
- Comfortable using CRM tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and email/WhatsApp for professional client communication
Key Skills
- Clear, confident communication — able to explain specs, pricing, and terms to buyers from different cultures and time zones without confusion
- Negotiation instinct — knows when to hold firm on price and when flexibility earns a long-term client
- Ownership mindset — treats every order as their responsibility from inquiry to delivery, not just "my part of it"
- Organized follow-through — nothing falls through the cracks; quotations, follow-ups, and documentation stay on track
- Problem-solving under pressure — when something goes wrong (a delay, a spec issue), stays calm and finds a solution instead of passing blame
- Curiosity about the product — genuinely learns the categories they sell instead of reading off a spec sheet
What We're Looking For (Beyond the Resume)
We want someone who treats every buyer conversation like it matters — not someone chasing a quick close and moving on. You should be the kind of person who:
- Follows up because you actually want the deal to work for both sides, not just to hit a number
- Double-checks a quotation before sending it, because a wrong number damages trust
- Can tell a buyer "that's not something we do well" instead of overselling
- Wants to understand what you're selling well enough to answer hard questions confidently
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive fixed salary + performance-based incentive on closed orders
- Direct exposure to international buyers, trade shows, and cross-border negotiation
- Clear growth path toward Senior Export Sales Executive or Export Sales Manager roles as you build a track record
- On-the-job training in export documentation, pricing, and multi-category product knowledge
