SIRENA TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD
Head of SKIP-X
School of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Sirena Technologies
- Reports To - CEO / Founders
- Location - Bangalore
- Function - SKIP-X — Full P&L Ownership
- Preference - Prior experience building/scaling EdTech businesses preferred
Role Purpose
The Head of SKIP-X owns the SKIP-X business end-to-end — strategy, P&L, curriculum direction, delivery quality, partnership growth, and team leadership — reporting directly to the CEO/Founders. This is a build-and-scale mandate: taking SKIP-X from its current platform (five pathways, five hardware tracks, CoE partnership models) to a scaled, revenue-generating education business across schools, universities, and corporate/research partners.
Key Responsibilities
P&L ownership: Own revenue, cost, and margin for the SKIP-X business across all five pathways — Ignite (schools), Evolve (university/B.Tech), Mastery (12-month residency), Research, and Centre of Excellence partnerships — and report business performance directly to the CEO/Founders.
Strategy and roadmap: Define SKIP-X's growth strategy — which pathways, geographies, and partner segments to prioritize — and translate India's NEP 2020 and global robotics/AI skilling demand into a scalable commercial roadmap.
Curriculum and academic direction: Own curriculum quality and evolution across all tracks, ensuring alignment with the CMU/Stanford/MIT-benchmarked structure SKIP-X is positioned against, and ensuring every cohort meets stated outcomes (working robots, GitHub portfolios, published research/patents, demo-ready products).
Team leadership: Build and lead the SKIP-X team — Trainers, BD-Pre-Sales, curriculum designers, and operations — setting hiring bar, performance standards, and capacity planning as the business scales.
Partnership and revenue growth: Drive and personally engage in high-value University, School, and Corporate/Research partnership deals (CoE Starter/Advanced/Research tiers); support the BD-Pre-Sales function on strategic and large-ticket accounts.
Delivery quality and standards: Ensure delivery across Ignite, Evolve, and Mastery cohorts meets SKIP-X's hands-on, hardware-first standard (not simulations, not toy kits); own student outcome metrics and certification integrity.
Platform and R&D alignment: Coordinate with Sirena's core R&D, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure SKIP-X training content stays current with commercial platform updates (Nino, Twist/Perro, robotic arm, UBOT, Nina) and that the Research track feeds back into Sirena's IP pipeline.
Brand and market positioning: Represent SKIP-X externally — industry events, Demo Days, investor and partner conversations — positioning it as India's leading Physical AI/robotics education ecosystem.
Operational governance: Set and monitor KPIs across enrollment, partner conversion, certification completion, placement/outcome metrics, and unit economics per pathway; report regularly to CEO/Founders on business health.
Candidate Requirements
Leadership experience: 8-12+ years of experience with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role owning a P&L, business unit, or vertical — ideally within EdTech, skilling, vocational training, or technical education.
EdTech experience (preferred): Candidates with direct experience building, scaling, or senior-leading an EdTech business — particularly in technical/STEM, certification, or institutional-partnership-driven models — will be strongly preferred given the complexity of SKIP-X's school-to-industry pathway structure.
Domain fluency: Working understanding of robotics, AI, or deep-tech education sufficient to set curriculum direction and engage credibly with technical faculty, R&D partners, and engineering talent — does not need to be a robotics engineer, but must be technically literate.
Commercial acumen: Demonstrated ability to build and close institutional partnerships (universities, schools, corporates) and manage multi-stakeholder, long-cycle B2B/B2G sales and relationship structures.
Team building: Track record of building and managing cross-functional teams (training/delivery, sales, curriculum/academic) in a scaling environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA, M.Tech, or equivalent advanced degree preferred; engineering background a plus given the technical nature of the product.
Disposition: Comfortable operating with full ownership and direct accountability to CEO/Founders; able to balance academic rigor with commercial pragmatism; willing to be hands-on across curriculum, sales, and delivery as needed in a scaling business.
