About the Role
The Ghoman Group is seeking an experienced Hotel Architect to support the planning, design, renovation, and development of hospitality projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel architecture, guestroom design, brand standards compliance, renovation projects, and construction documentation.
This position requires close collaboration with hotel ownership groups, brand representatives, consultants, contractors, and project managers throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hospitality projects, including hotels, resorts, extended-stay properties, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents.
- Develop hotel space planning layouts including guestrooms, suites, lobbies, restaurants, meeting spaces, fitness centers, and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards and design guidelines.
- Coordinate renovation, conversion, and new construction projects.
- Work closely with ownership groups, franchise representatives, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks.
- Review construction documents for code compliance and project requirements.
- Support entitlement, permitting, and approval processes when required.
- Participate in client meetings and present design concepts and project updates.
- Collaborate with interior designers and project teams to maintain design consistency.
- Manage multiple hospitality projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Stay updated on hospitality industry trends, hotel design innovations, and guest experience standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on hotel, hospitality, resort, or lodging projects.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating hospitality architecture and hotel development projects.
- Experience with hotel renovations, conversions, adaptive reuse, and new-build projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements (ADA), life safety standards, and hospitality design requirements.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
- Experience working on US-based hospitality projects.
- Familiarity with hotel Property Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Experience with franchise approval processes and brand compliance reviews.
- Knowledge of sustainable hospitality design practices.
- Construction administration experience.
