About the Role
Amity Global School, Gurugram is seeking a passionate and experienced IBDP Computer Science Facilitator to teach Grades 11 & 12. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, a student-centric teaching approach, and hands-on experience delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inquiry-based Computer Science lessons for IBDP Grades 11 & 12.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in accordance with the IB Diploma Programme framework.
- Foster computational thinking, programming skills, and problem-solving abilities among students.
- Guide students in Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and other IB assessment components.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Participate actively in curriculum planning, professional development, school events, and parent-teacher interactions.
- Maintain accurate academic records and ensure compliance with IB standards and school policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree and/or B.Ed. will be preferred.
- Certification or training related to the IB curriculum will be an added advantage.
Experience (Mandatory)
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in an IB School is mandatory.
- Prior experience teaching the IBDP Computer Science curriculum to Grades 11 & 12 is mandatory.
- Proven experience in preparing students for IB assessments and board examinations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science concepts, programming languages, algorithms, databases, networking, and software development.
- Excellent understanding of the IB learner profile and inquiry-based pedagogy.
