Job Summary
SAMMS TECH SPM Automation is looking for a Junior Purchase Executive to support procurement activities for manufacturing and automation projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, negotiating with vendors, following up on deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of materials for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation components.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Create and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with vendors for material delivery and order status.
- Coordinate with production, stores, and design departments regarding material requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in planning material purchases.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders and specifications.
- Assist in developing and maintaining supplier relationships.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP software is an added advantage.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
- Strong follow-up and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits and material procurement when required.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, ECE, Production Engineering, or any relevant degree.
- Freshers with strong interest in procurement are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, SPM, automation, fabrication, or engineering industries.
- Knowledge of industrial materials, machine components, and vendor management is preferred.
