As as Safety Engineer-II you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development:
- Prepare concept, detailed design and Good for construction stage design deliverables for water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater systems, centralized hot water system and fire protection systems.
- Perform water supply demand calculations, water supply & drainage pipe sizing, rainwater/storm water piping/drain sizing, water treatment plants (STP/WTP).
- Selection of fire system based on type of project, code and local requirements, fire protection hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, and pipe network design using relevant software like pipe net. Preparation of fire & life safety report.
- Design of sprinkler systems, internal & external hydrant networks, fire pumps, and other suppression systems like water mist, gas-based system.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, IS codes, and local regulations.
- Integrate fire protection and PHE systems with other building services.
- Coordination & Documentation:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines for integrated design solutions.
- Prepare BOQs, Design basis reports, technical specifications, tender drawings, tender packages and good for construction drawings.
- Review shop drawings and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Support value engineering exercises to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Critical Areas of experience :
- Double-interlock pre-action systems.
- Clean agent suppression (Novec / FM200 replacements).
- VESDA / early detection systems.
- Fire zoning for data halls.
- Lithium-ion BESS fire strategy.
- Generator yard fire protection.
- Water storage redundancy planning.
- Code compliance for Tier III / IV.
- Fire cause & effect matrix integration.
- Commissioning & integrated fire testing experience
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or post-graduation from reputed college or university.
- 10–12 years of experience in PHE and Fire Fighting design for Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and hydraulic calculation software.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, NBC, IS codes, and local regulations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, coordination and leadership skills.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in large-scale projects such as Residential, Commercial, Hospitality Airports, Hospitals, Data Centers, or Industrial facilities.
- Familiarity with Revit and BIM workflows.
