Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Application Development & Maintenance:
Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows, including modules like Service Portal, Workspaces, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Now Agent to meet specific business requirements.
Business Process Integration:
Lead the integration of business processes into the ServiceNow infrastructure, focusing on improving Customer Service Management (CSM) and Sourcing & Procurement operations for seamless process automation.
Custom Application Development:
Develop custom applications using JavaScript and other relevant scripting languages to cater to the evolving needs of the business. Ensure the solutions are scalable and in line with best practices.
Testing & Code Reusability:
Build unit test cases and write reusable, maintainable code that adheres to high performance and quality standards. Participate in peer code reviews and ensure the integrity of the application design.
System Upgrades & Patches:
Perform regular system upgrades and install patches to maintain system stability, performance, and security. Monitor the systems performance post-upgrade and resolve any issues proactively.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for advanced troubleshooting and technical support on ServiceNow-related issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, propose tailored technical solutions, and ensure successful project execution from concept to deployment.
Training & Mentorship:
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices in ServiceNow development and administration. Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of the ServiceNow platform.
Skills and Qualifications:
ServiceNow Platform Expertise:
Demonstrated technical proficiency in the ServiceNow platform with in-depth knowledge of Service Portal, Workspaces, CMDB, Integrations, Service Catalog, and Now Agent. Capable of building and maintaining complex workflows, business processes, and data models.
ServiceNow Portal Development:
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Portal development, including expertise in Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and SQL/MongoDB for building dynamic, user-friendly portals. Experience with UI/UX enhancements and custom scripting for seamless user interaction is an added advantage.
App Engine Studio & Custom Applications:
Proficiency in App Engine Studio and Flow Designer to build custom applications using ServiceNow's out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities and plugins. Experience in developing tailored solutions to meet specific business needs, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Custom Solutions Development:
Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with the ability to optimize code for scalability and maintainability. Familiarity with scripting tools and integrations is highly desirable.
Problem-Solving & Workflow Management:
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on managing complex workflows and data integrations. Adept at diagnosing system issues, offering creative technical solutions, and ensuring operational stability in dynamic environments.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Skilled at translating business requirements into technical solutions and fostering collaborative team environments.
Experience and Education Background:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
.2-4 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform.
Required certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
