The Area Sales Manager – South India is responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, developing new markets, and leading the regional sales team to achieve revenue and market share targets across the South Indian region.
Locations: Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kerala, Chennai, Vishakhapattanam, Coimbatore (Candidates may apply also who can relocate).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Manage and expand distributor, dealer, and channel partner networks across South India.
Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and untapped markets.
Lead, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of the regional sales team.
Ensure effective implementation of pricing, promotions, and marketing initiatives in the region.
Conduct regular market visits to build strong customer relationships and gather market intelligence.
Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable insights to management.
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company credit.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
5–10 years of relevant sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in an area/regional sales management role.
Strong knowledge of the South Indian market and distribution landscape.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
