Role Summary The Junior Engineer will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring accurate stock records, and supporting smooth store operations. The role involves coordination with production, purchase, and dispatch teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory. Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods Monitor stock levels and ensure minimum/maximum inventory levels are maintained Perform regular stock audits and physical verification Track material consumption and highlight variances Update inventory data in ERP/Excel systems 2. Store Keeping Ensure proper receipt, storage, and issuance of materials Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and identification of materials Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store Prevent damage, pilferage, or loss of materials 3. Material Handling & Coordination Coordinate with purchase team for inward materials Coordinate with production team for timely material issuance Ensure proper documentation for inward/outward material movement Follow up on pending materials and shortages 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, and stock registers Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports Highlight slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory Maintain records for audits and compliance 5. Process Improvement Identify gaps in inventory/store processes and suggest improvements Support implementation of ERP systems or automation Ensure adherence to company SOPs Required Skills Basic knowledge of inventory and store management Proficiency in Excel (must) ERP knowledge (preferred) Good organizational and coordination skills Attention to detail
