Job Responsibilities
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for dimensional inspection of components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and inspection plans
- Set up components on CMM using proper fixtures and alignment methods
- Execute inspection programs and perform manual or automated measurements
- Verify part dimensions against design specifications and tolerances
- Generate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation
- Identify and report non-conformance to production and quality teams
- Calibrate and maintain CMM machine and probes as per schedule
- Support PPAP, ISO, and customer inspection requirements
- Ensure accuracy, repeatability, and traceability of measurement data
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience in reading technical drawings and inspection plans
- Hands-on experience with CMM software (PC-DMIS / Calypso / MODUS preferred)
- Understanding of precision measuring instruments
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive or precision manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality systems
- Exposure to 3D inspection and reverse engineering is an added advantage
