- Equipment Configuration: Set up and adjust cold-chamber or hot-chamber pressure die casting machines according to engineering specifications.
- Die Preparation: Clean dies, inspect for damage, and apply necessary release agents or lubricants regularly.
- Process Parameter Control: Monitor critical indicators such as furnace temperature, injection pressure, cooling cycles, and plunger speed.
- Melting & Pouring: Melt metal alloys in a furnace to appropriate temperatures and manage the manual or automated ladling of molten metal into the die.
- Casting Removal: Safely extract solidified components from the machine with minimal damage to the tool or product.
- Trimming & Finishing: Remove excess material such as gates, runners, and flashing from completed parts
- Product Inspection: Check completed castings for visible defects (like porosity, shrinkage, cracks, or flashing) using instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine machine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and collaborate with the tool room team during die changes.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and adhere to strict safety guidelines regarding molten metal handling
