We are seeking a highly experienced, disciplined, and strategic Project Manager to oversee the execution of large-scale government building construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for leading projects from inception to closeout, ensuring strict adherence to public procurement laws, government regulations, safety standards, and strict budgetary constraints.
As the primary liaison between government agencies, architects, subcontractors, and community stakeholders, you will ensure our public infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution: Direct and manage comprehensive building construction projects from pre-construction planning through final handover.
- Contract & Subcontractor Management: Oversee government procurement processes, manage public contract delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build), and manage vendor relationships.
- Budgeting & Financial Control: Manage multi-million dollar project budgets, handle cost forecasting, approve change orders, and navigate public funding/grant milestones with transparent reporting.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the chief point of contact for government representatives, public inspectors, architects, engineers, and internal executives.
- Schedule & Risk Management: Utilize advanced scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to establish critical paths, mitigate project delays, and implement rigorous risk management protocols.
- Quality Assurance & Safety: Enforce strict quality control standards and maintain a zero-incident safety culture on government job sites.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive project management experience in commercial or institutional construction, with at least 5 years specifically managing government or public works building projects (e.g., hospitals, administrative facilities, PWD/CPWD buildings).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field.
