Position: Sales Manager – Stainless Steel Manufacturing & Trading
Department: Sales & Marketing – SS Division
Location: Mumbai & Other Metropolitans
Reporting To: Head of SS Division
Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and achieving sales targets for stainless steel products. The role requires extensive market knowledge, customer relationship management, and strategic sales planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Identify and develop new customers in sectors such as Engineering, Fabrication, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Infrastructure, Automobile Railways.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Handle sales of stainless-steel products such as coils, sheets, plates, pipes, bars, and other value-added products.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand customer requirements and monitor competitor activities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic sales reports for management review.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Coordinate with production, planning, dispatch, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collection from customers.
- Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events to promote company products.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for business expansion.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- MBA – Marketing our preference would be for an Engineer of Mechanical or Metallurgical stream.
- 10–15 years of experience in stainless steel manufacturing/trading sales.
- Strong knowledge of stainless-steel grades, applications, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
