We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Billing & Insurance to oversee hospital billing operations, insurance processing, and TPA coordination. The candidate will ensure accurate patient billing, timely claim submissions, smooth insurance approvals, and efficient revenue cycle management while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities Billing Operations
- Supervise IP/OP billing processes and ensure billing accuracy
- Monitor patient accounts, payments, and outstanding balances
- Coordinate with departments for timely and error-free billing
- Handle billing escalations and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Prepare daily/monthly MIS and revenue reports
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing standards and procedures
Insurance & TPA Coordination
- Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs for cashless approvals
- Verify insurance eligibility, policy coverage, and documentation
- Ensure timely submission of insurance claims and supporting documents
- Follow up on pending claims, denials, and reimbursement settlements
- Resolve insurance-related queries and claim rejections
- Maintain updated insurance and claim records
Team Management & Compliance
- Lead and support billing and insurance teams
- Conduct regular audits to ensure process accuracy and compliance
- Improve billing workflows and operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to NABH and healthcare regulatory standards
- Train staff on billing and insurance procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in hospital billing and insurance operations
- Strong knowledge of hospital billing systems, TPAs, and insurance claims
- Familiarity with HIS/ERP software and MS Office
- Good communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
