Role Objective:
To provide ultimate strategic, commercial, and operational leadership for the Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) and Commercial Excellence division, steering the global vision for field force productivity, scaling enterprise data capabilities, and governing a large-scale organization of analytical leaders to accelerate business growth and market competitiveness.
Principal Tasks & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and directional leadership to the entire SFE and Commercial Excellence department, establishing structural organizational design, cultivating elite analytical talent, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Architect the overarching global framework for territory design, doctor-targeting segmentation, and sales deployment, ensuring maximum return on investment (ROI) and field-force coverage across all business divisions.
Oversee and approve the design, policy guidelines, and financial budgeting of the corporate Incentive Compensation Plans (ICP) and Sales Target Allocation systems to ensure strict compliance, motivation, and equity.
Spearhead the next-generation roadmap for enterprise CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce) and business intelligence (BI) infrastructure, leveraging AI-driven predictive modeling and data automation to scale commercial execution.
Partner directly with the C-suite and regional business unit heads to translate high-level corporate goals into actionable field force capabilities, providing diagnostic organizational health updates.
Govern critical relationships and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with global SFE technology providers, consulting agencies, and data vendors to ensure high service delivery.
Key Skills & Competencies
Elite leadership credentials with a proven track record of managing large, multi-disciplinary SFE and Commercial Excellence departments (including managers, leads, and analysts)
Advanced business acumen, strategic planning, and operational modeling within corporate, commercial, or pharmaceutical environments
Deep mastery of CRM architecture, commercial data structures, data integration models, and advanced business intelligence platforms
Exceptional financial planning and budgeting capabilities, specifically regarding large-scale incentive models and operational expenditures
Master-level communication, presence, and stakeholder influence skills at the executive and board levels
