Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Labour Room Staff Nurse to provide safe and effective nursing care to mothers during labour, delivery, and the immediate post-delivery period.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support to patients during labour and delivery.
- Monitor the mother’s vital signs, labour progress, and fetal condition.
- Assist doctors and gynecologists during normal and emergency deliveries.
- Prepare and maintain the labour room, delivery equipment, and necessary supplies.
- Assist in conducting normal deliveries as per hospital protocols and nursing scope of practice.
- Provide immediate care to the newborn and assist with neonatal care when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of patient records, observations, and treatments.
- Ensure infection control practices and maintain cleanliness in the labour room.
- Handle emergency situations and provide immediate nursing support.
- Educate and support mothers regarding post-delivery care and breastfeeding.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments for effective patient care.
- Follow hospital policies, protocols, and NABH quality standards.
Qualifications
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Labour Room / Maternity Nursing.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of labour and delivery procedures.
- Good patient care and monitoring skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Salary: As per hospital standards and experience.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
