Job Summary
The Stores cum Purchase In Charge is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store/warehouse by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of materials, tools, and equipment. The role ensures proper stock management, accurate record-keeping, and timely availability of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify them against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Inspect goods for damage, quantity, and quality before accepting into the store.
- Properly label, store, and organize items in designated locations.
- Issue materials to departments as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain stock records in manual registers or inventory software.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Store Supervisor/Manager.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and assist in physical inventory audits.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
- Prepare reports related to stock movement, consumption, and inventory levels.
- Assist in unloading and loading materials when required.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of inventory management.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel / inventory software).
- Ability to handle materials and work in a warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Supply Chain, Commerce, or related preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in stores or warehouse operations (freshers may also be considered depending on company).
Working Conditions
- Work in warehouse/store environment.
- May require lifting materials and standing for long periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
