Job Description
We are looking for a skilled FEA Engineer to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and support the design and development of engineering components and systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural analysis, meshing, simulation setup, result interpretation, and technical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and mechanical components.
- Develop and review simulation models based on engineering requirements.
- Perform geometry preparation, defeaturing, midsurface extraction, and CAD cleanup.
- Create high-quality FE meshes using appropriate element types and mesh controls.
- Define material properties, contacts, boundary conditions, and loading conditions.
- Perform linear and nonlinear static structural analysis.
- Conduct modal, buckling, fatigue, and thermal analysis as required.
- Interpret FEA results including stress, strain, deformation, reaction forces, and factor of safety.
- Correlate simulation results with hand calculations, test data, or experimental results where applicable.
- Identify potential design issues and provide simulation-based design recommendations.
- Perform mesh convergence and sensitivity studies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentation of simulation results.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing, and other engineering teams.
- Support design optimization and engineering problem-solving activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural mechanics.
- Good knowledge of stress, strain, deformation, stiffness, strength, and failure theories.
- Experience with one or more FEA tools:
- ANSYS Mechanical
- Abaqus
- HyperMesh
- Nastran
- LS-DYNA
- Altair HyperWorks
- Good knowledge of FEA meshing and model setup.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or NX.
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot simulation results.
- Good understanding of contacts, constraints, loads, and solver settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or consumer-product engineering.
- Hands-on experience with nonlinear analysis, contact analysis, fatigue, modal, and buckling simulations.
- Experience with FEA model correlation and validation.
- Knowledge of scripting/automation using Python, MATLAB, or APDL is an advantage.
- Experience with design optimization or DOE is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in FEA/CAE.
- Candidates with strong practical simulation knowledge and good fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
Pay: ₹14,116.04 - ₹58,527.37 per month
