Procurement Executive – PET Bottle Scrap (Field Operations)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Procurement Executive to develop and manage the procurement network for PET bottle scrap. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new suppliers, maintaining relationships with existing vendors, negotiating prices, and ensuring the daily procurement of bulk PET bottle scrap to meet the plant's production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel extensively across Madhubani and nearby districts to procure PET bottle scrap.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, including scrap dealers, kabadiwalas, aggregators, collection centres, waste management companies, institutions, and large commercial establishments.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with small, medium, and large-scale vendors.
- Negotiate competitive purchase prices while ensuring consistent quality and supply.
- Achieve daily and monthly procurement targets.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely lifting and transportation of material.
- Monitor market prices, competitor activities, and supply trends.
- Verify material quality and quantity before purchase.
- Maintain accurate records of vendors, procurement volumes, and purchase transactions.
- Submit daily procurement reports and market feedback to management.
- Resolve supplier issues and ensure smooth procurement operations.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in PET bottle scrap procurement or plastic scrap purchasing.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of the local scrap market and recycling industry.
- Ability to travel regularly for field visits.
- Self-motivated with a target-oriented approach.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Candidates with relevant industry experience will be given preference.
