Core Responsibilities
- Plant Operations: Manage and monitor ETP systems (such as ASP, MBBR, and SBR) to ensure wastewater is treated properly before release.
- Process Control: Monitor parameters including pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), and Total Suspended Solids (TSS).
- Chemical Dosing: Regulate the addition of chemicals, coagulants, and nutrients based on wastewater characteristics.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks, cleanings, and preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, blowers, and screens to prevent breakdowns.
- Record Keeping: Maintain daily log sheets tracking water meter readings, chemical consumption, and operational metrics.
- Compliance: Ensure the treated effluent strictly meets environmental standards set by bodies like the Central/State Pollution Control Boards (e.g., CPCB/MPCB norms).
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Typically requires an ITI certification, Diploma, or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Analytical Chemistry.
- Experience: Usually 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in operating wastewater treatment facilities (ETP/STP/RO/ZLD systems).
Pay: ₹9,094.62 - ₹29,869.27 per month
