Key ResponsibilitiesDonor Recruitment & Community Outreach
- Plan, organize, and coordinate voluntary blood donation camps.
- Develop strategies to recruit and retain voluntary blood donors.
- Build partnerships with educational institutions, corporate organizations, NGOs, industries, and community groups.
- Conduct awareness programs on voluntary blood donation and blood safety.
- Promote repeat voluntary blood donation through donor engagement activities.
Donor Counseling
- Counsel prospective donors before donation regarding eligibility, safety, and the donation process.
- Provide post-donation guidance and address donor concerns.
- Maintain donor confidentiality and privacy.
- Counsel deferred donors appropriately and explain reasons for temporary or permanent deferral.
Patient & Family Support
- Counsel patients and caregivers regarding blood availability, component therapy, and donation requirements.
- Assist families in identifying replacement donors where applicable.
- Guide economically disadvantaged patients toward available support schemes or charitable resources, as per hospital policy.
- Coordinate with clinicians and hospital departments for timely blood support.
Coordination
- Coordinate with hospital departments for planned transfusion requirements.
- Liaise with voluntary organizations, NGOs, educational institutions, and corporate partners for blood donation activities.
- Maintain communication with repeat donors and donor groups.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of donor recruitment activities and blood donation camps.
- Prepare monthly and annual activity reports.
- Maintain donor databases and follow-up records.
- Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Education & Awareness
- Develop educational materials on voluntary blood donation.
- Conduct orientation sessions for volunteers and donor motivators.
- Participate in health awareness campaigns and community outreach initiatives.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow applicable national regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies governing blood banks.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
- Support infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality practices.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials.
- Assist in organizing donor recognition programs.
- Support departmental meetings, audits, and accreditation activities.
Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
