ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Ramgarh Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd, part of the MP Rungta Group,
is setting up a world-class DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) and
Power Plant facility in Madhya Pradesh. We are building a
high-performance team to drive this project from
construction through commissioning and operations.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The AGM / Sr. Manager – Civil will serve as Head of Civil
Engineering for the DRI & Power Plant projects, responsible
for planning, execution, and quality assurance of all civil
construction activities across the entire project footprint.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all civil construction: earthworks, equipment
foundations, RCC structures, structural steel erection,
cladding, internal roads, and drainage
- Review and approve civil design drawings, structural
drawings, BOQs, and material specifications
- Manage all civil contractors — work orders, progress
monitoring, quality audits, running bill certification
- Enforce construction quality: concrete mix design,
material testing, cube testing, and structural audits
- Coordinate civil interfaces with mechanical, electrical,
instrumentation, and piping teams
- Ensure compliance with Factory Building Rules, IS codes,
and NBC standards; manage statutory liaisons
- Chair site review meetings; prepare monthly progress
reports for senior management
- Plan civil resource deployment — labour, materials,
plant and equipment
- Lead and develop the civil team: engineers, draftsmen,
and site supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Must be from a Government Institute, NIT, or Reputed
Private Engineering College
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 10 to 12 years in Civil Engineering
- Must be from Sponge Iron / Power Plant / SMS Plant /
Rolling Mill / Integrated Steel Plant
- Industrial civil project experience from foundation to
structural handover strongly preferred
KEY SKILLS:
- End-to-end industrial civil project execution
- Equipment foundation design and RCC detailing
- Civil contractor management — tendering and billing
- Construction QA/QC per IS code requirements
- BOQ preparation and quantity estimation
- AutoCAD and civil design software proficiency
- Factory Building Rules, IS codes, NBC standards
