Job Summary:
Experience in make technology curriculum for K12
The Curriculum Head will lead the design, development, and
implementation of experiential, project-based learning curricula focused on
Makerspace innovation, Woodworking, Mechatronics, and Robotics. The role requires
deep understanding of spiral curriculum principles, technical pedagogy, and hands-on
learning methodologies to ensure skill progression from foundational to advanced
levels.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between education design,
engineering/technical skills, and maker culture, fostering innovation, creativity, and
applied learning among learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Architecture & Design
* Develop spiral, scaffolded learning pathways for woodworking, robotics,
mechatronics, electronics, and digital fabrication.
* Create competency maps and learning progressions that build conceptual
understanding and technical mastery over multiple levels.
* Integrate STEM principles, design thinking, and problem-solving into each
learning module.
* Design project-based learning (PBL) modules, capstone projects, and maker
challenges aligned with real-world applications.
* Ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards, safety protocols, and
21st-century skill frameworks.
Learning Experience Design
* Combine hands-on workshops, digital learning content, and collaborative
projects for an engaging hybrid learning experience.
* Develop detailed lesson plans, facilitator guides, assessment rubrics, and
student workbooks.
* Integrate Maker tools and technologies such as 3D printers, CNC machines,
laser cutters, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensors, and pneumatics.
* Embed iterative learning and reflection practices throughout the learning
journey.
LCD Strategy & Implementation
* Build and manage the training-of-trainers (ToT) program for educators, mentors,
and technical facilitators.
* Conduct learning needs analysis to identify gaps in technical and maker
education delivery.
* Implement frameworks for competency assessment, skill certification, and
learner portfolio development.
* Collaborate with industry experts, universities, and innovation hubs for content
validation and project partnerships.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
* Integrate emerging technologies (AI, IoT, automation, robotics simulation tools)
into the learning ecosystem.
* Apply data-driven evaluation and learner analytics to improve learning
outcomes.
* Experiment with new formats hackathons, maker fairs, design sprints, etc.to
enhance experiential learning.
Manage and lead a cross-functional team of Subject Matter Experts (21+
domains), Instructional Designers, and Product Managers, ensuring
effective collaboration, quality delivery, and alignment with organizational
objectives.
Education:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical,
Mechatronics, Robotics), Industrial Design, Education Technology, or related
fields.
* Certification or formal training in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development,
or STEM Education preferred.
Experience:
* 8-14 years of experience in curriculum design, technical training, or
STEM/Makerspace education.
* Proven track record of designing spiral and project-based learning programs.
* Hands-on experience with mechatronics systems, robotics kits (LEGO, VEX,
Arduino, etc.), CNC operations, and woodworking tools.
* Experience in establishing or managing Makerspaces, FabLabs, or Innovation
Labs preferred.
Key Skills s Competencies:
* Strong understanding of spiral curriculum theory and constructivist learning
models.
* Expertise in instructional design (ADDIE, backward design, competency-based
learning).
* Technical proficiency in robotics, automation, digital fabrication, and
mechanical systems.
* Excellent written and visual communication skills for content creation and
documentation.
* Strong project management, stakeholder collaboration, and facilitation abilities.
* Creative mindset with passion for hands-on learning, tinkering, and
experimentation.
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
